Free remote desktop for Windows CE 24 This entry was posted in Windows CE and tagged remote desktop windows ce vnc windows ce on December 11, 2013 by mike Since we are doing development for Windows CE we found very useful to have the ability to control a device from a remote location. Requires ActiveSync or Windows Device Center (or you can use IP Connection but it’s slow) File Browsing, you can also use FTP client like FileZilla instead of Mobile Explorer. Remote Display Control works on any platform running Windows CE version 2.11 or later. To get the version of your Windows CE device, go to Start Settings About.

Is there any way to remote-desktop INTO a Windows CE device if all I have to work with on that device is a USB port? I'd like to be able to record the screen.

ActiveSync supports ActiveSync Remote Display. And ActiveSync works via USB. See if your WinCE device supports ActiveSync.

The methodology of economics blaug pdf. Otherwise, you could do something with VNC and a USB network adaptor, provided there were drivers for it on CE.

This is the best free Windows Mobile 5/6 remote desktop tool I've found: http://www.mymobiler.com/

To use this, you will need to ActiveSync the device to your PC/Laptop via the USB cable.

I'm not positive if it works the same in raw Windows CE.
